ILIThe Critic
ILIs are skeptical and observant, often predicting negative outcomes or flaws in a plan. They value efficiency and factual accuracy over emotional enthusiasm.
01
General Description
The ILI (Intuitive Logical Introvert), often called "Balzac" or "The Critic," is a profound observer of the flow of time and the inevitability of events. They are skeptical, intellectual, and often sarcastic. The ILI seeks to understand the underlying mechanisms of the world and to predict the outcome of actions. They are cautious and prudent, often warning others of the futility of rash endeavors. They value wisdom, efficiency, and independence, preferring to watch from the sidelines rather than jump into the fray.
02
Ego Block
Leading: Introverted Intuition (Ni) The ILI lives in a world of mental imagery and temporal forecasting. They constantly analyze the past to predict the future. They have a keen sense of irony and the transient nature of things. They are often slow to act because they see all the potential ways things could go wrong. They value their peace of mind and their ability to foresee the "end game."
Creative: Extroverted Logic (Te) The ILI uses Te to critique and optimize. They are pragmatic and knowledgeable. They see the most efficient way to do things and are quick to point out inefficiency or stupidity in others. They use their logic to accumulate factual knowledge and to navigate the practical world with minimal effort. They are often financially savvy and understand how systems work.

Super-Ego Block
Role: Introverted Sensing (Si) The ILI can take care of their physical needs and appreciate comfort, but it is not their primary focus. They can be somewhat ascetic or indifferent to their surroundings. They try to maintain a level of health and hygiene to avoid problems, but they do not seek sensory indulgence for its own sake.
Vulnerable: Extroverted Ethics (Fe) The ILI is extremely uncomfortable with strong emotional displays, loud parties, and forced enthusiasm. They find emotional manipulation to be repulsive. They struggle to express their own feelings and can appear cold or unfeeling. They do not know how to "cheer up" others and often respond to emotional distress with logical advice or silence.
04
Super-Id Block
Suggestive: Extroverted Sensing (Se) The ILI is often inert and lacks physical energy. They are drawn to people (like the SEE) who are forceful, decisive, and full of life. They need a "push" to get moving and to turn their ideas into reality. They respect strength and will, even if they critique it. They feel safer when protected by a strong ally.
Mobilizing: Introverted Ethics (Fi) The ILI wants to have deep, meaningful relationships, but they struggle to initiate them. They value loyalty and close bonds. They often have a hidden sentimental side. They want to be liked and accepted for who they are, without having to put on an emotional performance. They appreciate people who are sincere and ethically consistent.

Id Block
Ignoring: Extroverted Intuition (Ne) The ILI sees possibilities but is generally skeptical of them. They prefer to focus on the most likely outcome (Ni) rather than getting excited about "what could be." They are critical of baseless optimism and "pie in the sky" ideas. They view excessive brainstorming as a waste of time.
Demonstrative: Introverted Logic (Ti) The ILI has a strong grasp of logic and structure. They can easily understand complex systems and theories. However, they view structural logic as less important than factual accuracy and practical results (Te). They will not adhere to a system if it doesn't work in practice. They use logic as a tool, not a dogma.
